Agra is one of the most visited destinations of India Tourism. It is known across the globe for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Agra the city of an undying symbol of love the ‘Taj Mahal’ is the most sought after destination of India Tourism. It is located on the bank of river Yamuna in the state of Uttar Pradesh and known across the globe for the best of Mughal Monuments also like Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. These historical as well as architectural monuments are UNESCO World Heritage Sites showcasing the opulence of Mughal construction and decorations. Apart from these the rich collections of artifacts utter the saga of the great Mughal Empire. Some of the well-known Tourist places in Agra are:

Agra Fort:
This is a semi circular fort situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. It is among the most robustly built stronghold of the Mughals renowned for the number of richly decorated buildings in Mughal style of art and architecture. This massive fort spread over an area of about 94 acres and surrounded by a 21.4 meter high fortification wall with broad massive bastions at regular intervals. Agra fort was once the residence of Mughal Emperors like Humayun, Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb, who ruled their empire from this place. The long reign of Mughal emperors blessed this fort with a number of beautiful palaces that spellbound visitors during the fort visit. Some of the known palatial buildings of this fort are Sheesh Mahal, Jahangir Palace, Diwan-i-Khas, Khas Mahal and two mosques.

Taj Mahal:
It is the most famous and most visited monument of India known for its immeasurable beauty. This undying symbol of Mughal romance was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is among the Seven Wonders of the World known for its beautiful construction and intricate design which thrill and excite tourists who come here from several parts of the globe. The foremost attractions of this marvelous piece of architecture lies in its incised painting, delicate pierce work, Herringbone pattern, Inlay detail and Arch of Jali. It is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site that utters the glory of great Mughals.

Fatehpur Sikri:
It is another most sought after tourist destination of Agra situated at a distance of 26 miles from the city center. This magnificent fort was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar and famous for its constructions and decorations. Some of the known attractions of this fort are Buland Darwaza, Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Jama Masjid (one of the largest mosques In India), Panch Mahal and the tomb of Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti.
