It’s only too easy to go for deals on cheap laptops. However, these deals don’t come without a catch. A brand new laptop may cost twice, or even three times as much as a cheap laptop, but you get to enjoy perks. Depending on the company and/or the store, brand new units have warranty sets. Usually, during the first week, you can exchange your laptop for another unit if you discover a factory defect. For the next year, you also get to enjoy free service warranty either from the manufacturer or the store. Whatever happens, the extra money you paid acts like insurance.
If a brand new laptop is way over your budget, though, there’s nothing to fear. You can also get cheap laptops that function as well as brand new units, although you’ll have to do without manufacturer warranties. Most of these do have 6 months of shop service warranty, so you can still enjoy free repairs for minor defects. These are refurbished cheap laptops.
The newly established brands do not offer much reliable warranties of the product due to which it become very hectic to sell the same out in the market where a lot of top brands laptops are available with lucrative warranties. That is why investing the cheap laptops of newly established companies may be dangerous as you can suffer from any kind of loss by selling the same. On the other hand if you have the mind in investing with the purchase of used & old as well as cheap laptops there is also such kind of risks available.
When we talk about investment, it doesn’t mean that purchasing of a single cheap laptop but it means a lot of cheap laptops. Mostly schools & collages sell all the units of computer systems of its labs after the use of two or three years and the investors took the whole lots at throw away prices without checking each & every system of the lab.
That is why lot investors who invested their funds in the purchase of cheap laptops suffers with small or big loss because there is always a chance of availability of defective and broken pieces in a lot that can only be disposed off on scrape price which is lower than the throw away price. Moreover there is also a chance of availability of grey hardware products inside the branded systems which had been replaced by the management of the lab at the time of need. |
