Art has always played a role in everyone's life, and that is mainly because many of us can relate to the subtle nuances of art. Great Artists have been always placed at really high pedestals and they have always been seen as a species higher than the remaining men. Which I really think is not really how one should see it.
Everyone is really the same, some do great things, and some do really ordinary actions extraordinary.

One such real person, who did ordinary things with beauty and class, was Vincent Van Gogh.
Vincent Van Gogh Paintings are in actual reality very simple work of art but yet leaves you with no other choice but to gasp at its class and various layers of meaning. Vincent Van Gogh was a expressionist, he distorted reality for an emotional effect and with very high success.
His paintings especially The Potato Eaters captured the peasant class, in its real light. Many of his paintings have been loved mainly because of the different color combinations that he chose to use and explore in depth. His strange use of the color Yellow was a matter of wide speculation as well.
People claim that his mental disease, played a vital role in his paintings, which I think can be possible as well. Because most of his paintings came around the time he was being treated to a yet unknown kind of mental disease. This makes me feel that he was stronger and resilient as well. He portrayed extreme steadiness, and also at the same time he had a very keen eye for normal things.
Some of his other well known paintings are the Starry Night and the Olive Trees.
This rant is not only about glorifying his work, it’s about the really unnoticed truth that we all can do simple actions with great beauty. All we really need is to open our hearts and minds and look around. We are common men, who are just really waiting to do great things.
