The level to which caffeine can cause a rise in blood pressure is directly linked to a few variable, which will include how many caffeinated drinks you use during the day and the level of your blood pressure beforehand. In some patients who suffer with hypertension the intake of as little as 250 mg of caffeine has been seen to increase blood pressure by between, 6 to 10 mm hg. It is recommended that people who suffer with hypertension should try and avoid caffeine as much as possible, if not cut it out completely.
